Onwater Program

The diversity of race formats is the signature feature of Brisbane Race Week.

Friday – Day 1

Friday afternoon’s racing takes its lead from Formula 1 qualifying with “hot laps” around Green Island.

Competing yachts will have a three-hour window to complete as many laps as they can and can choose to circumnavigate the island in any direction. The fastest lap on elapsed and corrected time will decide the race winners.

Saturday – Day 2

Saturday will up the ante with short races east of Green Island.

The handcrafted courses will put crews to the test, utilising the recently installed recreational racing marks.

Sunday- Day 3

A long passage race will see yachts stretch their legs with Moreton Island and Brisbane City as idyllic backdrops.

Monday – Day 4

The mother of all pursuit races is the last race of the regatta, with start times derived from the results from all previous races in the series. With handicaps already applied before the start of the race, it’s a winner-take-all battle

Onshore Program

While there will be a lot of fun on the water, it’s onshore where the real action takes place!
Fantastic onshore events and a Grand Finale are to be hosted across multiple venues and are open to all sailors, friends, family, members, guests and visitors.

Further details regarding the Onshore Program will be posted closer to the event.
